The Word Was With Us

· reflections,Faith

Powerful enough to speak light into darkness.

Powerful enough to call forth flourishing.

Powerful enough to make the dead things come back to life.

They can cut, scarring flesh like a knife.

They can heal, like salve on an open wound.

They can be twisted, manipulated, turned upside down to prove a point,

Upending an opponent for the win.

They can gently persuade the hardest of hearts, disarming the steel wall.

They can move nations turning friend into enemy and enemy into friend.

They can become flesh and dwell among us, teaching us how to speak.
